The Human C.A.N. – What does it mean?
The Obvious
As I mentioned before, I had found the perfect domain name for this project, but without explanation, you won’t fully grasp what I mean. So lets start with the obvious:
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” — Napolean Hill
And
“Whether you think you can or you can’t – either way you are right.” — Henry Ford
I believe that in all things, the human can achieve! Even if that means we conceive and believe ourselves to be disconnected from one another and controlled by some external governing force, sure we can even achieve that nonsense! 😀 It is not hard to see that all our man-made constructs are born from our minds – they all start with a single thought, and grow into massive buildings, spaceships, or even soy burgers 😉
The Acronym
But as the capital letters suggest, C.A.N. means more. At some point in my life, I came to understand that there are 3 types of humans:
- Channelers
- Amplifiers
- Nullifiers
Now, I really have no idea where this concept came from. I have read quite a few spiritual books, so maybe I derived the concept from something I read? Or maybe as I read, and learned how to open myself to a new way of thinking, that my Channeling nature brought this concept to me from the ether. But really where it comes from is of no importance, as it is the message that truly counts in all things, not the messenger. Over the years I have been able to clearly identify which people belong to which disposition. Doing so has made a profound impact on how I relate to them, and how they relate to me. If they are open to the discussion, sharing this concept with them has always been an enlightening experience. Understanding which archetype you are naturally strong suited with can play a massive role in your self-understanding, self-love, self-expression, etc. Now before I explain what each archetype is, let me note that EVERY human has ALL THREE abilities within them. However, for some reason or another, we seem to be born or otherwise raised into being better suited or naturally gifted in one of these three archetypes.
The Channeler
The Channeler is a person that can easily open themselves to information from the ether… from the source… from the universe… from God… from Angels… from some place far deeper and greater than we are consciously aware of as humans. These people are typically great “students” as they seem to get great “grades” effortlessly. They don’t have to study much, the answers just come to them, things make sense naturally. These people likely experience knowing things even though they have never been taught such things. From outward appearances, they seem very intelligent, and even very wise depending on their personal self-development. They have good instinct and they trust it. These people are often the leaders in a group, but can also go the other direction and be more introverted as artists, painters, writers, poets, etc. An ungrounded Channeler can also seem flighty, “head in the clouds”, odd, strange… eccentric. They can channel the raw un-manifested Source energy, or they can also channel from manifested sources such as anything within the Light and the Dark spectrum of our reality. In some cases, Channelers can be “diagnosed” schizophrenic, which is again a complete misunderstanding of the actual issue. True, such people have a very difficult time relating to others because they are channeling such a broad spectrum of reality and they are not able to sort things into their proper places, but to call it a disease that needs medicated is to outright misunderstand their true nature (not uncommon to the psychological and medical businesses of our world today).
The Amplifier
These people are insanely powerful. They are the greatest lovers, their connection to the heart is very powerful, and they can love all things they come in contact with. The are empathic and often sympathetic. They want to believe the good in all things, but can be blinded by this desire for all people to be good. They are the life of a party. They are the ones that make things happen, that keep the wheel turning, that bring things to life. A party or gathering without an amplifier may seem chill or even dull… but once an amplifier arrives, thats when things get interesting, exciting, fun and wild. These are the people that can take the energy around them and amplify the vibration thousand fold. However, this becomes their pain as well, as when they are around negative energy (fear, hate, loathing, depression, etc) they amplify that too, and down the rabbit hole they go. They can take the whole household with them too. These people are often “diagnosed” with bi-polar syndrome and attention deficit disorder. Both of which are merely a misunderstanding of the true nature of an amplifier. They call it a disease, like something is wrong with you, but they couldn’t be more wrong. If an amplifier accepts these “diagnoses”, they will fall prey to self-loathing which leads them down a dark path of depression — they will hate themselves for being this way and wish they were like “other people”. Amplifiers lives are a roller coaster, they don’t do anything small, so when they are in negativity, it takes them to extreme lows, and when they are in positive energy, they go to extreme highs… its like a drug to them. They hate the lows, so once they climb out of the low and start to experience a high, they amplify it to the max to get as “high” as they can and wish they never come down from this high. But they know from experience, they surely will… “what goes up must come down” right? And so their life goes, with great highs and great lows. People love amplifiers, they are personable people, they make you feel good — but boy, look out when its on a downswing!
The Nullifier
Ahhhhh the Nullfiers, the peaceful, grounded, sensible people. They are the EASIEST of people to get along with… they seem to just go with the flow wherever it leads. They make GREAT best friends for any kind of person. Loyal, honest, and GREAT listeners. They don’t have much to say about anything, but man can they listen! It feels good to talk to them, to let it out, and you really feel like they are there for you. This is because of their very nature, they are a SPONGE. They absorb the energy around them even when they don’t want to. They can’t help it, they just suck it all up. “Sponge” in fact may seem to be a better term for this archetype, however, it is quite inaccurate to a healthy Nullifier. When one realizes this is their nature, and they understand that their gift is the ability to absorb and ground out or absorb and tramsute, AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL THINGS HAPPEN! So the “sponge” is just expressing the fact that they absorb whats around them, but then what they DO with that absorption is their true gift. By grounding out the energy, they can return the energy to the Source, giving a quick and effective way to diffuse over amplified situations. A truly conscious Nullifier can also transmute the energy into something else before releasing or grounding it. That is their greatest potential, the transmutation of energy absorbed, but in the end, the result is the same, the energy was once one thing, and now it is another. We all have heard the famous “Energy can neither be created nor destroyed” which leads way into the understanding that Energy simply changes form. As such “Nullifier” may seem inaccurate, however, the EXPERIENCE to us humans feels like a nullification, and that is what really matters, our experience of this reality. Nullifiers are often indecisive, they either want none of the options or all of the options. They look to their counterparts to help them make decisions, or simply make the decision for them. Two Nullifiers together on a journey often results in a lot of frustration and not getting anywhere. As a result, Nullifiers are most comfortable with an Amplifier or Channeler. Also, due to their sponge disposition, they tend to be quite uncomfortable around groups of people, and to their own self-judgement, they just feel anti-social and more of a home-body. Hermits are often Nullifiers. Unbeknownst to these people, the reason they feel this way is because they are absorbing a chaotic swarm of energy emitting from all the people having all their own thoughts, judgements, emotions, etc. This becomes difficult to handle, so the Nullifier will often perch themselves some place inconspicous and just try to watch the party/gathering from afar. This can be depressing for a Nullifier as they WISH that they could socialize like the other people do… they wish they had something to say, and may even feel a little dumb or unintelligent because they don’t have some endless stream of things to say. All of these feelings affect a Nullifier in social situations, so their instinct is to disappear without anyone noticing, run off and hide so they can finally catch their breath and feel relaxed. A conscious Nullifier, however, can understand that there is nothing wrong with them at all, that all they are feeling are perfectly natural to their archetype, and while they may not be the greatest conversationalist, they are the greatest listeners — and there’s nothing people love more than someone that really listens. So if you are a Nullifier out there nodding your head along with these words, know this: people really do love having you around, rest easy!
The Exceptions
The above are rather brief descriptions of a complex topic. It is very important to understand that how a person’s archetype affects their personality and experience depends greatly on the “past pain” they hold on to — or another way of stating that is how much of themselves they have left behind — or how many attachments the person has to which situations that may be causing pain (the attachment always causes the pain, not the situation; but thats a whole other topic).
It also depends upon how far along a person is in their own personal self-understanding and evolution. For example, an Amplifier holding on to great pains, and living mostly unconsciously (action/reaction living), can be a very dangerous person. Highly self-destructive and destructive to everything around them. They will not likely be the “life of a party.”
So its just important to understand that the above short descriptions are a sign that points in the “right” direction (as is with most of anything I have to say really). That being said, when a person can identify their own archetype disposition, and keep that understanding in the forefront of their consciousness, allow your experience to pass through this archetype understanding, much of your reality will begin to actually make sense, where before there was chaos. The more this understanding is practiced and applied to your experience, the more you will feel grounded, and ultimately, at true peace with self.
There really is so much more I could write on this topic, so many more clarifications, so many more different words expressed from different points of view, but I will leave you with this for now, and I welcome you to inquire or even criticise, whatever your inclination 😉
Just know this:
Everything is true… until it is not.
Do not focus on the words written here, but rather on what feelings and thoughts you have as you read them — that is what truly matters.
